    Dear NS,
Very happy to see you back.I wish and pray for amma.Don't worry, she will be fine soon with all our prayers.I was checking everyday,to know the status of her health. Also was missing yr presence in this forum.

For diwali,I didn't make anything much, since my son is not here.Someone was going to his city, just before diwali,so I quickly made apple halwa and cashew mysore pak.

    I also made Hotel sambhar,Oats dosai,malli poo idli.Thanks for all the recipes.:bowdown

how are you? how is your mother now? prayers for her speedy recovery.

maami, for malai kofta is it ok to make the kofta without paneer as i would like to reduce the usage of paneer. can i add some other substitute or just make it with potatoes only?

    Dear Mami,
Back after some ages. Wish your mom a speedy recovery, our prayers are with her. Made laddoo, almond burfi and butter murukku for Deepavali. All were awesome. Laddoo was very simple with the help of SBS, for someone trying it for the first time. My mom was really worried how I would handle making boondhi with hot oil, it was a bit difficult but managed it.:) Badam burfi was terrific. Yesterday was Chander's bday so made Kaju Katli for that. It has come out so well, melt in the mouth and we are feasting on it :)

    Cheers,
    Nithya

    Dear Deepali,
If you had given the link to the kaju rolls which you tried, it would have been easy to answer!!
If it was by cooking method, you have removed a wee bit early. If so, refrigerate to harden, form rolls, keep in paper cups & keep back in fridge.
    Love,
    C.

    Thaks, Sowmi.
So, now you know the tricks of 'shop-look-alike' sweets!:hide:
In north, they use desiccated coconut for rolling, but it does not appeal to our palette much.
Potato karasev is a simple easy snack! You have become a specialist in white thenkuzzhal!:thumbsup
    Love,
    C
