u can try sony's digicam
they are very gud and are thin and handy..

 

All cam's are same now almost, but still check for optical zoom to high end say 7 to 8 and 12 or 14 megapixel. You can go with Nikon, Sony cybershot, samsung or kodak :thumbsup

 

If you want a point and shoot camera with good clarity and which is not very bulky, go for Sony Cybershot of Nikon Coolpix.

If you are into serious photography, but SLRs are out of your budget (like me :bonk) check out Nikon L110 model. It is easy to use (point and shoot). But it has a wider lens which will help you capture good long distance shots and also close up shots. The picture quality is much better than the regular point and shoot cameras. The downside is that it is bulkier.

check out these things before you buy a digital camera

1) Higher end Megapixel (Min.10MP)

2) Optiocal zoom (Min. 3X)

3) Image Stabilizer (will not shake while you r moving)

4) Lithium battery(new) or Normal AA+ (which is very common to get when you are out of charge)

5) Expandable memory slot with minimum 4GB card

Most ecconomical brands are Canon and Sony which has easy access to service centres.

Others like Nikon, Fuji, Pentax are rare to get service and costly too.

Do not go for Samusung/LG brands as they were not in to dedicated camera's zone.

I have a canon ixus 7.5 bought 4 years back and it still works well and i feel canon shots are real good.

recently i bought a SX-20S..from canon...and i am impressed with it..
