dear friends, thanks a lot for the advice. plz pray that i concieve fast and deliver a healthy baby.. regards
Hi Friends! Was looking for info about gynaecologists in Abu Dhabi and came across this post. Very useful info indeed! Thanx to all of u who have shared their experiences and opinions. After reading all the posts I'm a bit confused between Dr. Monika at NMC & Dr. Jayalakshmi at Ahalia considering I would also be delivering at one of these hospitals...so I need to knw not just which doctor is good but also which hospital is better in all aspects. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. I'm so glad that I am a part of this community coz it's not very common to find such an active online indian ladies forum...it's really a great help and lots of fun too!
I delivered my son 10 yrs. ago at the Corniche Hospital. It's one of the best in OB/GYN......I'm not aware of updates on that Hospital anymore. But now whenever I need to see a pediatrician or any other doc, I go to NMC. I don't know any doc in Ahalia but NMC has some good specialists. I wish you all the very best.
Thanx a lot for your replies Richa and Mdmini! I've heard that Corniche is the best but in recent months it has become extremely crowded and u have to wait for 4-5 hrs e'time u see the doctor irrespective of ur appointment time. Also husbands cannot accompany at the time of scans and visits unless u take an appointment at some specific timing. E'time u visit u see a different doctor/midwife which is not something I am comfortable with at all. Besides that at the time of ur delivery u do not always necessarily have access to a private room and may need to share. Despite all these factors I still do know that Corniche Hospital does have the best and latest facilities in the capital and ranks topmost for maternity. However I'd just like to evaluate and consider the option of a private hospital. (if there is one which is really good with a really good gyn), which is why i wanted to hear of people's personal experiences at any of these. Besides NMC and Ahalia I'm also considering Lifeline as I've heard of a very good Gyn named Dr. Akila there and the facilities there seem to be pretty good too. Still not decided though....
You are welcome. I wish you the very best and hope that you get the best medical team to deliver your baby. All the very best, once again.
