Hi, Moving to London soon. Any chance of getting a South indian, tamilian cook, is there any agency? Thanks
Hello Teju22: Welcome to Indusladies! Finding an Indian cook in London should not be difficult but I'm not sure about a south indian cook in particular. No idea about agencies for them but the best place to look for such services would be local indian / asian grocery shops and temples. Hope this helps. Sindhu
Hello Teju, One lady she is a Keralite cooking at my home, she cooks tamil food.. If you want let me know, I will give her the contact number. Thanks and Regards Lakshmi
Dear Lakshmi, I live in hounslow, could youn please give me contact details of your keralite cook. Kind regards, Sushma.
Hey Manaswini, Europe's visa system is as complicated as any other country's with loads of tiers under every category.:spin There should be come category of visa which employs people with a specific skill set not found in UK e.g 'Tamilian/Keralite cook specialized in Indian food'.Hmm..even the home office will not disagree on allowing someone from India to fill this job opening :thumbsup Though I agree how do domestic cooks cross the border ?
Very intersting Sabitha. Thanks for the info. Usually, over here, when you see someone working in an Indian store, it's almost always a relative of someone who is a GC holder or citizen. Of course, there are exceptions to that. Just wondering cuz I've seen and heard about people filling in the "Indian" cook positions in a household.
Hi Lakshmi, I am looking for an indian cook- if your cook has time or know another cook - could u pls pass on the details.Looking forward to ur reply.
