An old event where Vikram said pair for younger character as Baby Sara. Now Baby Sarah as young Nandini
After seeing the trailer (in Telugu) and reading some of the comments here now my curiosity is piqued. What’s a good translation of the books in English? Any recommendations? Has to be English though.
Most of the things gets lost in translation. If you can understand Tamil I would suggest the audiobook if not check out this link. They talk about the best translated one. https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-bes...d: An,enthralled generations of Tamil readers. The translated ones are available in Amazon as well and is free if you have kindle unlimited
The kindle version by CV Karthik Narayan, is what I’m reading. DH is reading Varloti’s book translation. Both have done a good job translating but I’m sure there is no comparison to Kalki’s original. If you don’t mind an e-reader then go for the kindle translation. If you are like my mister, then Varlotti’s translation is available on Amazon. Come up to $100 odd with courier etc.
I am on Part 1 - chapter 10 and some interesting portions came up. One down side to reading the book after the cast is announced is that Trisha's face comes up when Kundavai's name is mentioned in the book and same for Karthi, Vikram and Jayaram for their equivalent characters.
I think there might be some spoilers in this interview. I haven't watched the trailer yet to be devoid of spoilers. Just sharing, in case someone is in the same boat as me.
