Right from my childhood I have always wanted to get a pet for myself. But my father doesn't wanna to because he is strictly against us getting: Infected because of bites/ scratch Allergy because of hair Finally because of my continuous torture, he did bought me a pair of parrots. That happened in 2005 , as they were fully grown and it was hard for them to accept it and as I was going to school I could only spend some time with them and gave foods. Unable to look that , we set them free within a span of two months. But the thought to get pets dint leave my mind. I resigned last November and this urge to get pet grew up. Now my husband is ready to get me one either through adoption or buying it. If my father was there he wouldn't have accepted either my resignation or pet. He would have spent time with me. It doesn't mean my husband doesn't, he does when he has break time and during evening after working hours. So, I am planning to get one . Please ,please suggest one for me with reasonable rate. 1. I am scared of dogs but I am okay to get a poodle(cost is high) 2. As I am staying in apartment, my husband is against both dogs and cats 3. I love Indian parrots but now it's punishable offense to have one 4. I love sugar gliders , thanks to Jin(BTS) but when I looked into it ,its life span is less. But my husband is ok with it. Please suggest one for me and is it okay to have hamsters or hedgehog??. Turtle/tortoise is out of question for me as my family is against it even if it is in form of doll
It is cruel to keep sugar gliders as pets. Hedgehogs need a lot of maintenance. Hamsters and Guinea pigs can be a good choice.
I am very talking person and can't b in very silent place. Even when i cook , I turn music on So I wana b with pets with whom I can interact with and keep listening to them
If you really want to have connection with a pet, dogs are the best option. if you explore may be you will find what works for you.
If you are considering those why cant a cat. I have both cats and dog (Labrador). Dogs are lot of work. Cats are easy. Go for two, so they have company. Short hair is easy. We need to train them. I trained them to be mostly for indoors, but allow them outdoor too. My kids like them & spend more time with them than dog. Even my dh now like them. They are well behaved. If you consider dog go for smaller size, but, dog take lot of time and energy. We have a fish tank too, but no one care about it, except dh. Not easy. Hope you find the rightone for you.
Actually I am scared of dogs And also ours is apartment , my husband is not agreeing to it as dogs and cats needs some outer space. He is not even considering small poodles. He has cats in his hometown so he really want them to grow in that environment not in an apartment
