How to prepare for Internet outages? Never had anything like this before. Happened 10:30 in the morning, was told it will repaired 1:30 in the morning next day. This morning provider says it will be fixed by 5:30pm this afternoon I'm not surprised by the delay but how to prepare in future. How to download songs and movies from YouTube (I believe this is only available with YouTUBE premium) and store in external drive. Or must it only be Apple or Android device? Is there anything else to consider? This is not life altering event, just a big hassle and inconvenience. Btw, I'm using phone's cellular data.
Me and my neighbor had different internet provider. During internet outages we helped each other. Once after a hurricane we all had no power for 3 days I went and sat in mall. During outages whichever zone had power/internet friends used to offer help. Like these mobile hotspots you can try. I am not sure about how it works. Ohhh that is a great idea ... Friends help each other. In my building almost everyone has same provider ... We only provided each other updates using FB page on our cellular network. I will check the Verizon link you posted.
