A Twisted Love Story

Part1

Natasha Kapoor was flying back home. Home! How she missed home and her parents. It had been almost a month since she saw them. She was an only child of her parents and at the age of 24, they were still very protective of her. She remembered how hard it had been to persuade her parents to let her come to Pakistan. She was one of the doctors working with Medecins Sans Frontieres. MSF helped people worldwide where the need was greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflicts, epidemics,disasters or exclusion from health care. It had been her first project with MSF and she liked helping underprivileged people.

Somebody sat next to her and pulled her out of her reverie. She saw a beautiful couple with a cute boy aged about 5. The boy was restless and his parents had to settle him down. The woman gave her a polite smile and started a conversation. They had been chatting when a guy moved past them through the aisle. The guy stopped for a minute and looked at Natasha. Natasha felt someone staring at her and looked up. There was a guy looking at her intently. The first thought that came to her mind was how handsome he was. She had stopped mid-sentence and was staring at him. The woman looked from her to the guy she was staring at and cried out, 'Rehaan Khan... Rehaan Khan!' The guy.. err.. Rehaan Khan flashed her a beautiful smile and proceeded to take his seat. The woman ran after him and Natasha heard her ask him for an autograph. So he was a celebrity! 'He must be a movie star.' Natasha thought. When the woman came back, she was gleefully smiling. She told Natasha how big a fan of Rehaan Khan she was. He was her favorite pop star.

Natasha glanced at Rehaan Khan and realized he was looking at her. She quickly looked away. Rehaan couldn't help but smile. She was really beautiful. He would like to know her... be with her. He was deep in thoughts when the air hostess started giving instructions. He blocked her out and tried to get some sleep. They had been airborne for almost half an hour when he heard shrieks from around him. He woke up with a start. He saw three men holding guns. One of them announced that they had hijacked the plane. Some people started crying, some were too terrified to do anything. The terrorists submitted people into silence. One of them went to cockpit,while the other two kept guard.

Natasha was terrified. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She thought she was never going to see her parents again. The thought made her dizzy and she felt as if she was going to pass out. Then all of a sudden she saw Rehaan Khan getting up from his seat and tackle one of the terrorists. In a flash,Rehaan pushed him down and throttled him. The second man came ready to gun Rehaan down but Rehaan lunged at him snatching the gun away from him. He then hit the man with the gun and knocked him unconscious. The third terrorist came out running but before he could do anything Rehaan shot him down. It was all over within minutes.

Rehaan walked into the cockpit and showed the pilot his I.D. which stated he was an ISI agent. He told the pilot to fly back to Lahore.

Part 2

In Lahore

Natasha had been waiting for the next flight home when Rehaan walked towards her. She was surprised to see him. He hauled her up to her feet and dragged her with him. She tried to free herself but he didn't let her go. He took her inside what looked like an unused office. Before she could say anything, Rehaan said,'I love you Natasha.' Natasha was confused but then she realized that he called her by her name.
'How did he..?' Natasha asked him how he knew her name. Rehaan said,'I am an ISI agent and I have my sources. I know that you are 24...an only child of your parents...a doctor working with MSF...oh and your parents are looking for a decent guy for you to get married.' Natasha gasped... she didn't know what to say. Rehaan continued,' I am a decent enough guy and I want to marry you.' Natasha was dismayed. After a while she stammered, 'I d..don't want t.. to marry you. ' And she started to leave. Rehaan caught her by the wrist and said, 'You don't have a choice in the matter. You are mine and we are getting married. ' Natasha started to realize extremity of her situation. She was all alone in a foreign country and nobody was there to help her. Tears came down her eyes. She got disoriented. Rehaan was saying something but she didn't understand a word of it. Rehaan shook her and repeated, ' I love you Natasha... it was love at first sight... and I will always keep you happy... I will take care of your every need... please marry me. ' Natasha was in a shock. It couldn't be happening to her. Things like this belong in a book or on TV not in real life.

Natasha reasoned and pleaded with Rehaan. Finally she begged him to let her go but he remained unmoved and said, 'Natasha, you belong to me now and that's that. ' Natasha got filled with rage at his insolence and her own helplessness. She mustered her courage and said, 'I will never marry you.'Rehaan stared at her for a while and then he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. Natasha screamed, 'What the hell are you doing? ' Rehaan said, ' I was going to wait to make you mine until after we got married but as you are not going to marry me I don't need to wait any longer. ' Rehaan threw her down on the table. She started thrashing about but she was no match for Rehaan. He pinned her beneath him and said, ' I could be pretty indecent at times. ' Natasha cried out, 'I will marry you... please stop... please... wait till we get married. ' Rehaan pulled her up. She was crying. Rehaan felt sorry for her and tried to calm her down but she pushed him away. But Rehaan persisted and pulled her into a hug. Again he said, 'You are mine Natasha. '

It was Natasha's wedding day and she was full of apprehension. The wedding ceremony passed in a haze. She kept thinking, 'What would the night bring? Would she have to give her virginity to Rehaan who had abducted her? Rehaan hadn't touched her until now but what would happen after marriage? What would she do when he demanded that she surrender to him? ' Rehaan made her sign some papers and they became man and wife.

 

Part 3

Wedding Night...

Natasha was beside herself with fear. She had said to Rehaan that she would give herself to him after wedding. She was in a vortex of thoughts when Rehaan came into the room. He sat next to her and lightly brushed his lips with hers. His lips were soft and warm. Natasha almost gave into the kiss when she realized what she had been doing and what would come next. She panicked and broke the kiss. Rehaan said, 'We are married now. ' 'I need more time' blurted Natasha. 'I know you are my husband and you have a right to me... my body but please give me some time. ' Rehaan looked at his watch (which made Natasha squirm) and said, 'I am giving you my whole life. ' Natasha was surprised to hear that. She said, 'But that day you were so eager to'... she couldn't complete the sentence. Rehaan chuckled and said, 'You weren't ready to marry me so I scared you into marrying me... well it worked... we are married now. ' Rehaan gently kissed her forehead and left the room. Natasha kept wondering who the real Rehaan was. 'Maybe he was not that bad',thought Natasha.

The next morning when she got up and went to the kitchen, Rehaan was there making an omelette. When he saw her he smiled and said,'Good Morning my beautiful wife... Did you sleep well? ' Natasha gave a small smile and mumbled yes. She was hungry and the omelette smelled good. She poured herself a glass of orange juice and took a bite of the omelette. She felt Rehaan staring at her. She asked, 'Why are you staring at me like that? ' Rehaan winked at her and said, 'I can't touch but that doesn't mean I can't look. '

Days passed but Rehaan didn't attempt once to touch Natasha that way. She was grateful that he had some moral principles.

Flying to Karachi...

They were in a flight going to Karachi. They were to attend the biggest Musical Awards Ceremony there. Rehaan was nominated for the 'Best Singer.' When they reached the venue and entered the hall there was a huge uproar. Everyone was looking at them or rather Rehaan. He sure was popular. The anchor came and started asking him questions. She asked how he happened to look so handsome all the time. Natasha felt uneasy. 'Was she jealous..? Noway... she couldn't be', thought Natasha.

'So here comes the most awaited award of the night. Best Singer! And the award goes to none other than Rehaan Khan',announced the hostess. There was a huge round of applause. Rehaan got up and pulled Natasha to her feet. He took her in an embrace and kissed her cheeks. Natasha blushed and kissed him back. Rehaan went on the stage to pick up his award leaving Natasha in a daze. What had just happened? Did she just kiss him? And that also in front of all these people...! What was wrong with her? Of course she was happy for him.... Now why was she happy for him? Did she like him?.... Natasha didn't want to think anymore.

 

Part 4

Back Home

Natasha couldn't believe she had kissed him. She was going to bed when Rehaan came. Natasha panicked. He so got the wrong idea. 'But can she blame him?' ' Why did you kiss me?', blurted Natasha. Rehaan was shocked for a moment then he said, 'You kissed me too. ' 'But you did it first.',said Natasha. ' I hadn't forced you to kiss me. You are as much to blame. ', he countered. ' I am so mad', said Natasha. ' At me or at yourself? ', said Rehaan and left the room. He had got that right. She was mad at herself. She didn't know what had come over her. Maybe it was the fact that he hadn't taken his husbandly right by force. That he had never harassed her... Not mentally let alone physically. 'She was making excuses for him now!' 'What was happening to her? ' She forced herself to sleep.

Rehaan had a concert the next day. He asked Natasha to accompany him but she declined. She needed some time to herself. She needed to figure things out. At 8pm Rehaan left for the concert saying he would come home around 12 midnight. What had happened last night started to haunt Natasha. It had been only an hour since Rehaan left but she had started missing him. ' Why do I miss him? ' 'Because I like him. ' That came as a surprise. ' But why do I like him? ' 'Because of what he could have done and what he didn't do. '

She couldn't wait for Rehaan to come home. It felt like an eternity but finally it was 12. 'Rehaan should be home any minute now. ',thought Natasha. It was almost 1am but no sign of Rehaan. Natasha became worried. She tried to call him but his phone was switched off. An hour passed still no sign of Rehaan. She became restless. 'Why hadn't he come home yet? ' 'What could have happened? ' Tears came down her eyes. She was crying for Rehaan. Finally it hit her. She had fallen for her husband.

There was a chink of the door's lock opening. Rehaan was home. ' The car broke down so I got late ', said he. Natasha ran to him and threw her arms around him. Rehaan held her tightly. Natasha told him how scared she was when he hadn't come home. Rehaan asked why and she said that she loved him. ' I love you too. ',said Rehaan.

 

Part 5
I love you, Rehaan.' 'I love you, Natasha.'

Rehaan lifted Natasha in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. He slowly put her on the bed and gave her a soft lingering kiss. Natasha put her hands behind his head and pulled him on the bed with her. Rehaan deepened the kiss and Natasha opened her mouth. Rehaan licked her lips and slowly thrust his tongue into her mouth. Natasha moaned with pleasure. Finally they undressed each other and made sweet love.

The morning after the night...
Rehaan woke up with a smile on his face. Natasha was still sleeping. She had held him tightly and their legs were entwined. Rehaan first kissed her forehead then her nose and then her lips. Natasha sleepily kissed him back and said, 'I love you, Rehaan.' 'I love you more.',teased Rehaan. ' No.. I love you more', said Natasha. ' I love you more and it's evident from the fact that despite your protest I made you marry me. ',said Rehaan. Natasha slightly hit him on the shoulder and said, ' I love you more as I gave myself to you despite being kidnapped by you. ' 'Let's just agree to disagree. ',said Rehaan.

They were having breakfast when Rehaan asked Natasha if she wanted to meet her parents. Natasha was surprised. 'But I thought you didn't want me to meet my parents. I remember the time when I pleaded with you to let me call my parents after you had kidnapped me. You had staunchly refused. What made you change your mind? ' Rehaan smiled and said, ' What do you think? ' Natasha blushed. Rehaan continued, ' You love me... We are husband and wife in every sense of the word... Now I know that you would never leave me. ' Natasha couldn't help but smile. They decided to go to England the next month as Rehaan was supposed to perform there.

 

Part 6

'I can't wait to go to England.',said Natasha. 'Neither can I... I want to honeymoon in Europe. ',chuckled Rehaan. Natasha smiled and Rehaan lightly kissed her cheeks.

'Rehaan, I think you should tour around England for concerts while I will stay at my parents as I can't wait to meet them. They must be going crazy because of my disappearance. I need to explain so many things. ',said Natasha. Rehaan agreed.

In England....

'Let's go to your parents' place.',said Rehaan.

'I think first I should talk to them and explain the whole situation. Then you should come and meet them. ',said Natasha. Rehaan said, 'I think I should come with you and tell them everything.'
' What are you going to say? That you had kidnapped me? Are you crazy? They will go mad and insult you.',said Natasha. ' Well, I haven't done the most honorable thing.',said Rehaan. 'Rehaan, please... please let me talk to them first. ' said Natasha and kissed him. 'Well, if you ask me like that how could I deny?',said Rehaan.

Natasha's parents' place...

Natasha reached at her parents' home. She was bursting with joy. It had been 4 months since she last saw them. And during that time her life has turned upside down... She had fallen in love... And was married to the handsomest guy in the world. She rang the doorbell. ' They would be so happy to see me.',thought Natasha.

It was Mrs. Kapoor -Natasha's mom who opened the door. She was so surprised to see her. Tears streamed down her face and she pulled her into a hug. She kissed her forehead and called Mr. Kapoor- Natasha's dad. Mr. Kapoor saw Natasha and gave her a bear hug. He was overwhelmed to see Natasha after such a long time.

'How are you?...Are you alright?... Where had you been? ',they bombarded Natasha with questions. Natasha tried to calm them down but they were too excited. 'I will tell you guys everything just calm down first.',said Natasha. She seated them down and told them everything that had happened.
