should i take my baby along with me for h4 visa interview

    My husband got h1 last month and he would be travelling to USA in april. Myself and my baby ( 9 months ) would be going for visa interview in feb mid . My question is whether it is necessary to take baby for h4 visa interview ?
    Will they give h4 visa for baby along with mine if I take her documents along with me.??
    My baby cries when she seeing crowd and strangers . She might cry lot if I take her to US counsalate.
    Can anyone clarify this as early as possible

    Yes , it is mandatory to take the baby with you.

    be prepared , take food and everything you need for the baby. You could stay good couple of hours inside the consulate.

    Wat will happen if she cries loudy there... she cries lit if she sees strangers

    No, you cannot take your hubby inside the consulate for the interview. Only the applicants are allowed. In fact now, the security has increased, and they don't even allow the husbands to stand near the gate or walk on the road near the gate ( Chennai consulate )

    But women with babies are given a priority sticker and are allowed to go first for their interview without any waiting at all.

    You also need to check the website for allowable items which can be carried inside the consulate for the baby ...

    Hi,

    I have 2years old baby. I attended H4 interview 2weeks back. I didnt take my baby. I saw some parents bringing their babies. But its not mandatory. You and ur hubby alone can go. Dont take your baby. Its very tough to manage them.
