Hi Sumathy, just came across the list of schools u mentioned. I would like to know abt NAFL. could u let me know how is this school as ur daughter is studying there. My son is 5 yrs old and we have just moved from Switzerland (Geneva), he was studying in an International school there. I would like to knw does it follow an International syllabus. and wht is the strength in each class, and also if possible the fee structure.. Have you any idea about Primus Public School , Treamis World School, Greenwood High, Vibgyor High, Freedom International, Bangalore International School. Your reviews would really help me a little. thanks regds Rajjo..
Wow, I never knew International schools even existed in Bangalore! The one i am familiar with is - Sacred hearts and Bishop's College girls high school and few others. But isnt Ooty famous for schools though?
Dear Rajjo, NAFL offers IGCSE board for 10th std. But till 7th, they dont follow any particular board; they have their own syllabus derived out of IGCSE, CBSE and ICSE. My daughter will go to 2nd grade in June and till now, I am quite happy with their curriculum. There is more emphasis on imparting knowledge than 'rattofying'. There are no exams but reviews twice a year; these are surprise events and the way of testing is to test the understanding of the concept and not reproducing something verbatim. Reasonable extracurricular and sports activities (this is a complaint from some parents, I should say, that there could be more of these facilties!). While going to 8th grade, children decide whether they want to choose CBSE or IGCSE. NAFL offers only CBSE for 11th and 12th and you have to shift to their other school, TISB if you want to do IGCSE 11th and 12th. Class strength is around 25 - they never go beyond 30 at the most. Fee structure is a bit ambiguous here as they have NRI quota and local quota. NRI children are usually given admission immediately (as the school was originally founded to cater to children who are coming back to India and who cant fit in regular schools) but the fees structure is different for them. I would suggest that you call them up and find out - here are their numbers - 08023239281 / 1567. My daughter got in three years ago and that fees is relevant only for children admitted that year. Roughly, it is in between DPS kind of schools and other international schools like Aditi Mallya. I am sorry but I do not know much about the other schools you have mentioned. May be, your location in bangalore will help you to narrow down to some extent. Then, you could check the schools in that area personally. Regards, Sumathy
:thumbsuphi... Try Trio World School which is an international school, also located in northern bangalore. I was impressed with faculty and class size.
Hi, I am also looking for good International schools in Bangalore which follows Montessori system of education. But i feel that the fees Structure in all these schools are quite more. Is that good for the Children to Study in such a parsh Environment? Will that not affect the childs mentality and attitude towards life? Can someone tell me a good school whcih takes care of all these factors also along with studies. Thanks and Regards, Jaya Murari.
Hi Can anyone let me know the fee structure for 1st std new admission in Venkat International Public school, Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore ?
