hi, we are seriously tryiong out vidya mandir mylapore for our daughter (LKG admission). we recently relocated to chennai..heard its tough to get admission into this school. can anyone please provide me with who to contact for recommendation and wot shld i do to get my child admitted there (i live close to the school). thanks. vidhya

hi, Try this link to get some details regarding admissions in Chennai Schools- School Admissions in Chennai - Admission, CBSE, ICSE and Matriculation Schools I have heard many stories regarding getting admission to this school. But I really do not know the truth. Stories - 1) Parents should be graduate. 2) Should have a good occupation 3) Possess a four wheeler 4) Should stay within 3 kms from the school. In case if you are successful in getting an admission, please do share with us the true details. It may be useful for other Ilites in future.
Dear Vanaja, Let me tell u a truth. The 3rd point what u have mentioned is not true as far as this school is concerned. My daughter studied L.K.G last year in that school and due to some occupational hazard we had to move out of Chennai. That time, i know many of her classmates were not having 4 wheeler. So please dont give importance to all those. Just go that school and talk to them. Also I would like to mention about D.A.V. Gopalapuram. A very good school and a very easy procedure for Admission. Just that u have to be within 1-2 kms radius from the school and the fist point what u have mentioned. Try these schools. ALL THE BEST!!! vidhya
