Yes Shanthi I agree to you at your son's age he use to listen but now for each and everything he wants an explanation and I sometimes find it difficult explaning it to him.
yeh even today we listen to our elders with asking .............why??

    hi shanvy,
    :hatsoff to you.
every parent has his/her own frequncy with the kids. My cue to the kids is, I go stand square and straight right in front of them and in a very low, hardly audible voice say "I said I don't want to repeat it. which part of the sentence you didn't unserstand?" Mind you, this works mostly with my son. My daughter, 4 yr old (she likes to say she is almost 5 yrs) needs more reasoning! I am more patient with her.. :spin

every parent/every kid/every situation is different. As they say in Tamil:
    Veetekku Veedu vaasapadi
What is right for me may not be so for you. But Youuuuu (we) Asian parents .... will definitely survive. I'm So Sure!

    Regards,
    Sharada
