Here are a few idioms and their meanings and example sentence

1. beat around the bush: evade an issue; avoid giving a direct answer.

Example sentence : Quit beating around the bush! If you don't want to go with me, just tell me!"

2. can't make heads or tails of something: can't understand something at all; find something confusing and illogical.

Example sentence : I can't make heads or tails of your e-mail. Were you having problems with your computer?"


3. catch one's eye: attract one's attention/interest.

Example sentence : "This brochure about Tahiti caught my eye when I was at the travel agency."​
