No offence taken, pls be rest assured.

this is a forum to discuss, and so what if two people dont agree at times.

what u say i agree that there are no GOVT jobs, but in private, if u are qualified, there are no quotas.

For eg. Wipro and Infosys, they hire u for yr qualifications, not caste.So prt jobs are available to all.

Reg setting up of business and needing of assitance.

I gave the example of setting up of a hand card, selling boiled eggs and omlettes, or selling Vada Pao, or Dosa on the road.How much investment that needs? Maybe 5,000/- at the most.

But most people shy away, thinking what will others say ?

Sindhis never bother what others say.Any honest business is welcome.That is where are very different from other communities.

I dont know much about Sindhis.... So no comments... If they are doing Great... Good...

But with regard to Brahmins... Especially south indian.... They are supposed to be the Forward Community.... On what.....????

The Brahmins are the most backward community now... I can show you so many people suffering for the next meal... Unfortunately they cant take up any other job like any other caste.... The Falthoo ego...

Gone are the days they ar erespected, given rice/food.......

There is a big article in Times sometime back that the scavengers in Delhi are Brahmins...

The boys from Brahmin Community could not get a medical/Eng seatinspite of getting 90%+... because of the cut off / reservations....

Today how many Govt. JV's are running under loss because of appointments based on Caste and not on Quality of the employees....

Sorry.... I dont want to go too deep into that...

It is not that they want the handouts... They want ther share from what it there... Slowly you will find one day the reservations will be more than 100%....

I agree with u.Very soon all reservations will be 100%.Sad really.Yes i too read about Brahmins doing the scaving work in Some part of india.what has the world come to.

Dear Kamalji

I agree with you...I am also not for reservations..it was created years ago to provide upliftment for some castes...now most of them have really come up...infact they are doing better than the forward castes...then why not abolish the system of reservations altogether and give everyone a fair chance,everything should be based on merit,nothing else.But this is only a dream...will become a reality only if we have no netas in our country ..which is again a distant dream.:-(

Yes,all this exists because of the craving for government jobs...when will our people ever realise that it is better to have a private job which will pay you salary based on your merit and your hard work..in 5 to 10 yrs one can earn a lot and even settle down in life with a house and other luxuries which if one is in a government job,can be done only by the time one retires.

It's nice to know that Sindhis are very independent :2thumbsup: .
I agree with Vedaji, that brahmins in SI do not get engineering / medical seat even if they get above 90%. I also watched the forwarded message that most scavengers in Delhi are brahmins. Brain drain is also because of these reservations.
There will be an end to these reservations only if the caste/ religion datas are completely removed from the application forms (either for the job or for admission in colleges).

I'm completely against reservations...

but people who are asking for these dont compltely represent the community cos still there would be many who dont want this... like we are here against it... its not about a community i guess it depends on the kind of upbringing you have had...

My grandmother, grandfather (who died during the partition) and in fact my Dad also came to India from pakistan after partition... but in our family also everyone has made a great life for himself on their own... without a father... without any support from anyone...

I guess no one needs reservations... what we need is a good system of education... that provides a basic education to everyone and then on the basis of merit should let the students go ahead in life wherever they want... lets say if we have 10+2 absolutely free for everyone and then from their onwards... the good and average and below average can be separated on the basis of performance not CASTES....

I agree with u that there are so many good private jobs these days for the meritious.

the Govt jobs these days are for those, who will not get jobs anywhere else,and who want assured jobs till retirment whether they perform or not.

With the quality of people in 'govt jobs, even if my child got a job on merit there, i would not allow it.

Your family examples prove that if u want to, u can acheive all u want, without any handouts or doles.

Yes i agree with u on the education stystyem which should be free or subsidised.There are govt schools, here, and some of the toppers on all india level come from these schools, and not from the expensive ones.
