DD has been vomitting since yesterday. She had 2 meals - cerelac and rice kanji and puked both after 2.5 hours ...I thought it would have got digested by then. She keeps biting her lips and putting her fingers into her mouth ...could it because of it? I noticed one tiny tooth in th lower gum some 2-3 days back .... can the puking be bcause of teeting? Also, how do i keep her hydrated?
Hi Teething time - loose motions are common Vomiting - may be she ate small hair -- this creates vomiting and loose motions till hair comes out of the little baby. GIve a spoon of bonnysan or gripe water and see.... To avoid dehydration - feed her timely - mother's milk is best at all times. My DS used to vomit whenever gas formed at tummy - means if give food little late or gassy food.... Anyways wait for a day and if it continues please take her to doctor... Hei teething time be careful - mine and my DH shoulders have lots of tooth marks --- Regards Mrs.N
Thanks Jaya. She is better now, but still has loosies. Planning to monitor for another day before going to Doc.
Ramya, BF her often, give her water, or ORS water if she takes it. Wash her hands every 1hr. Babies keep their hands on almost everything thats reachable for them, and fingers go straight to their mouth. This frequent handwashing for both kids is my paed's advice. All the time she used to repeat this. Watch her pee counts and color. If her urine is yellow, she IS dehydrated. Or if she doesnt pee for more than 3-4hrs, this could be dehydration too. Is she active otherwise? Or dull and sleepy? If so, take her to paed, dont wait. How is poop? Color, mucus, curdy white spots? Do keep a dairy on all these things. I would add probiotics too, curd or stibs/bifilac - half a sachet morning and night, with water. Hugs momma
Vomitting is under control. But she still has loosies..... only 2-3 times a day. Otherwise extremely active and naughty ...... I am waiting..
