Well.. I am still struggling with DD;s latch but getting her on the boob during the day and give her EBM in the night.

Yestetday nursing her on the left breast was unusually painful and I noticed a white spot on the nipple. I applied "motherlove" cream last night for the soreness.

Today the pain is better but the white spot is still there? What causes it, how to prevent it and shd I contact my doc?

Note: Milk is coming out from that spot so I doubt if it is milk blister???

    Hi pray2god,

I'm sorry I don't know what it might be if not a blister. How are things now? If it is white patches instead of spot it could be some infection.

Also, I would like to know what do you do during the night if you give her EBM. don't you get engorged?

    regards,

    Hi Pray2god
its better that u consult ur doctor ...after my delivery i was advised by my doctor to reach her in case i see some white spots on my nipples...not sure whether ur issue is similar but its always safe to consult ur doc soon as u are feeding
