Chapter-27


Thick silence enveloped the room. Sagar knew only that Mithun was an ex-director in Evolution and moved out infamously.


‘I don’t get the complete picture…’ Sagar started.


Chairman stood up and said ‘ Mithun was forced to leave our company for the reasons I wish not to disclose here. I think he is planning to payback.’


He looked at Jai and asked ‘Would you walk me to my car, Jai.’


Jai remained silent in the elevator.


‘One of the rare moments, I’m seeing you silent Jai’


‘Things are very messy today…’


Chairman shouted ‘They are way beyond messy. How could you let this happen Jai? Years before I made a choice between you and Mithun, don’t make me regret for that. Your problem with him is affecting the company and I want you to finish it once for all.’


‘Sure Chairman’. Jai said in a feeble voice.


‘ Good Night Jai and update me on this.’


Jai couldn’t believe what chairman said. How can he point me responsible for this? Together they have seen handled many serious problems and what happened to him now?

On way back to cabin, Jai wondered where has things gone wrong. Jai received a call from company’s lawyer and he inquired the possibilities of taking action against Richard and the client.


Meanwhile when Jai was away Sagar questioned Srikanth, ‘What’s the problem between you and Jai? You know him before?’


‘No he just joined us 15 days back.’ Rajib came to Srikanth’s defense.


‘I haven’t seen him getting angry unnecessarily.’ Sagar explained.


When Jai came back to his cabin and found Sagar was making a plan and Rajib along with Srikanth were giving him some inputs.


‘Chief..’ Sagar came to him.


‘’Schedule a meeting with Project’s delivery manager and Project manager in another two hours.Instruct all the team members to come to office and cancel out all leaves apart from emergency. Schedule another meeting with team members at four tomorrow and book a large meeting hall.’


‘How are we going to deal this?’ Sagar asked.


‘We have to trick the customer back if Mithun is in board. Rajib since you were involved from the sales end, I want you here for next few days. There is also another task which you need to be involved.’


Srikanth couldn’t make out whether he should remain in the room or move out.


‘If any of these information leaks out or gets into your project report, I’ll personally ruin your career.’ Jai threatened Srikanth.


‘No sir. I promise’ Srikanth replied.


‘You can leave now.’ Jai waved Srikanth away.


While Sagar called the delivery manager and team for emergency meeting, Jai was chatting with Rajib.


‘Let’s take a dinner break before the team arrives.’ Jai along with Rajib and Sagar went towards the parking area.


That very minute Srikanth crossed them in his Harley Davidson. He waved at them.


‘Chief ,one minute.. Remember this is the Harley Davidson which appeared in my photos. You were checking the number and asking details isn’t? I suspected you knew him.’


Sagar’s question stopped Jai and he wondered how to respond him.
