Hello friends, It is rainy season her in Chennai. On Diwali day too it was drizzling and then started to pour down heavily. When we were wishing Diwali greetings over phone with our friends and family inevitably the question: "Angae Mazhaiiya?" was exchanged. So now what is your idea of spending a rainy Saturday afternoon. Here is this week's poll question: What's the best way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon?
Laxmi, ooohum, None of the above I am going to do...Just watching the rain! The cause may be we don't get enough rain here... Sitting idyllic watching the rain, recalling the lines of a lovely poem...what more than that...
Cozy Ofcourse , watching movie on TV with family...that is my idyllic, lazy Saturday afternoon. If there are hot hot masal vadais to munch on, that would be even better...especially when it is also cold to boot! L, Kamla
hobby Dear Laxmi, My vote . I have given to hobby. At present my hobby is computer but when the power goes... I don't know and that often happens here. I like reading books too and like Shahana watch rain as it falls pitter patter on the ground... All these are hobbies right regards Latha :wave
Rainy days Friends, other than spending the rainy day with family and playing board games etc; the next best choice is watching the rain and reminiscing abt. one's younger days - when there were downpours for days together and one didn't get even a glimpse of the bright sun :-D . I still enjoy remembering the good old days when me and my siblings huddled up together - wearing our father's coat ; watching the heavy rain and listening to the wind howling, giggling and enjoying the weather:tongue . Thanks for this weekly poll topic which stirred up happy memories of my younger days.:wave Savideva
Hai, it is raining heavily in Ambattur since morning today. I just love rain, I am a Keralite. I used to give some excuse to my mother and go to my friend's house when it starts to rain, when I was young. In Kerala, the water will be clean and it is very enjoyable to wade thro it. And it gets drained in minutes. But Chennai gets dirtier if it rains. One has to clean feet with antiseptic after reaching home. If it rains when me and hubby are travelling by scooter, we usually just drive thro the rain, enjoying it. We have travelled nearly 25 to 30 km in a stretch like that many times. My son too loves to get wet in the rain. But my favourite is, curling up with a very thrilling book like Da vinci code near the window. And there should be a supply of hot tea and crisp snacks, then it is heaven.
yesterday's rain Hi, Yesterday night it was raining heavily. Because of the lightening and thunder the electricity was off. My husband and I were alone with our pet dog (shivering with fright) . Couldn't watch the rain also because it was dark outside. I also like to get wet in the rain, but had to think about my age. Latha :wave
no offence Dear chithra, I can also follow your advice , right .. I am not a person to feel offended by this Chithra. Ha.ha.ha:-D So don't worry. Keep it up Latha
the mention of rain does something to my hormones.. Dear Ladies, the word rain & romance go hand in hand for me. I love watching rain & if we are driving then its even better. love to get drenched. have you seen the birds just cleaning them up after a rain.. pecking all over -- too good to watch. Definitely would like to watch a nice, easy romantic movie. ofcourse, with some good crispies (courtesy, chitra) around to munch. Love & regards,
