hi, Recently I had been to chikmagalur..this is a nice weekend getaway from bangalore. It is more of cofee estate ..and slightly at a higher altitude than bagalore. From here babubudangiri, Mulayanagiri and sheetalgiri are closer site seeing destinations. Also you have the kemmangundi hills also nearby.nice place to visit .There are good resorts in chikmagalur like the wintergreen, golf club,and taj and the top one is Serai(belongs the cafe coffee day group).The resort is too good with each room/villa having its own pool. The attraction is it is just 5 hrs drive from bangalore..:thumbsup
