Wedding Saree.. Please Help

Hello Ladies,

Please help me in choosing my wedding saree..
I do not want to buy a silk saree, as I dont want to wear something that is made by killing so many silk worms..

Please suggest alternatives..
I have heard of ahimsa silk, but are these widely available? have anyone of you purchased them?
Or any other material which looks good?

Please help!

Thanks for responding Shanvy,

I've seen the links, but was hoping to see if any ILites have seen it or worn it..
Coz its wedding saree, my mom and to be MIL are not very convinced with my choice of not wearing silk...
So I just want to be sure so that I can convince them...

Since I'm not in India, cant go and check..
I checked here, but the lady in the shop heard my explanation of ahimsa silk and showed me a normal kanjivaram saree and said thats ahimsa.. (I know it was kanjivaram as it was written on it)

check in il..there were 2 threads that discussed ahimsa silk maybe bumping them will bring those ilites to share their experience

Thanks Shanvy,
I checked that too.. I did send a PM to one Ilite who said she had purchansed a few..but dint get a response..
So my last option was to start another thread..
Will wait and see if I can get any response, else I'll have to wait till I go and check it myself...
