We are alone Amidst the birds, trees A crickets, leaves We are all alone Atwood strangers formally joined at the hip We are all alone For mikes and mi,Ed and miles Deep in the thick, dark, bushy forests The sun is going down Painting the sky colors of passionate Orange, cherries, and grapes We see each other in a new light Colored with these passionate shades We barely make eye contact Lest the sun, the, birds, the trees Witness to our deeds The sun has retreated The moon, stars and owls Are all witness to what nature Says must unravel The gentle breeze Slowly strips us of our insecurities Our fears Our traumas The dewy grassy ground is soft and inviting One can hear waves crashing Waxing and waning Getting intense in bursts of seconds Calming down to gain her composure Finally the miracle The Red Sea parts Only the promised one is allowed to pass The Red Sea patiently and lovingly Allows the promised one to safely pass All the while to waves violently clash I to each other Screaming more waves that clash into each other Slowly the Red Sea retreats The waves calm down The vast sea and the promised one Are never the same again Now we rest and are united We continue to wmbark on this new Arduous, exciting, scary journey Called life We are fantastic Bodies of water That lovingly stream into the primordial ocean For which we were originally manifest together And after eons we return, unmanifest together
