    Spoilers...

The role of Kamal's wife is what ties the story to her place of work, Deep Research, which supplies the Cesium to the terrorists. So, from Nirupama's POV, it is MOC, for her to realize her ambition of becoming a scientist - Nuclear Oncologist specifically, and for Kamal, it is to gain access to the information stored by Deep Research. Yes, this could have been done even without Nirupama's character, but understand that the movie also has to cater to the local audience.

As for Andrea, she is the link between Domestic Kamal and Shekar Kapur and Dawkins in her role as Kamal's student. This is what I understood from the movie.

Judgement deffered till Tuesday....Why? Didn't the judge watch the movie on Saturday? He took three days to make up his mind, and then wimped out?? Or is it that Sunday's a holiday, and he won't even do a bit of light thinking??

And now the police commissioner in B'luru wants to watch the movie before screening it in his city.....he'll waste another two days, and then advice for settling amicably!!

Anyways, Kamal is meeting with govt officials today, it seems....surely they'll come up with an amicable "settlement" and bring in more expense for Kamal :)

It's ridiculous... every T,D and H is embarking on their power trips... trying to gain their respective shares of visibility. If the government had any spine, it would arrest the fringe group leaders who demanded the ban for planting ideas of communal disharmony and let the film release.... nonsense!

What makes you think that the Government is not behind the planting of this idea in the first place? Since when did the Government listen to some group leaders and made their decisions based on their requests? The fact that the group is requesting the ban a day before the release and the government following suit is soo fishy. Get the politics out of cinema. No actors would have to beg for their work to be shown or recognized from then on.

Let the govt grow spine to combat other issues in the state.Let us not get to the level of tieing Govt spine and movie together. It is taking things to extreme.Agreed Kamal should not be troubled so much. But when it comes to money nobody is a saint.

Some of us will be fighting tooth and nail for the issue with people around us (for nothing ) and these celebs will compromise for a "good" deal leaving everyone with mouth wide open.Funny I see facebook pages and messages fighting for Vishwaroopam "cause".

I didn't think the movie has anything to do with religion, it did not portray the religion as a problem at all. All the scenes portrayed in the movie are well known facts about terrorism and training camps. Wonder why there are so many protests over it.

Well, I am talking from the point of view that the film was cleared by the Censor Board, which itself is a regulatory government body, equally represented, as I think. And I can understand the government's stance fearing a Law and Order issue, knowing the pulse of our people.

At the end of the day, I think it is an effort by some fringe outfit trying to gain visibility by riding on the back of a very high profile celebrity. Who would have heard to "Marumalarchi Muslim Kazhagam" or whatever that party is called before this? I certainly did not!

And yes, the government does need to grow spine for a lot of things.. but I don't see why protecting someone's right to produce/release a movie which directly ties into the doctrine of free speech/expression that is, at least in theory guaranteed to us, is not worthy enough of intervention.
