Actually my mom used to read it for 16 Fridays continuously. Every week one agalvilakku(diya) is lit. Keep adding to it, so at 16th week 16 diyas are there. You can wish for anything and start this puja. She starts it in April, so that it gets over in Aadi month, which is auspicious. We had got good results. But twice she couldnt continue it, and still those things are not fulfilled. End of 16 weeks, she used to give dresses and thamboolam to 3 people. If not dresses at least blouse pieces.
