    hi sisters,
    i bought pattu saree for my sister marriage in madhar sha... i wore tat saree for marriage.. after marr without ma mom i washed tat saree:cry: now tat saree cloth became dull i dont no wat to do.. i washed tat saree in shampoo..how to get tat beautiful saree?? if u know any tips abt pattu saree pls giv me..i love tat saree very much

    Hi deepti, this happened to my mom. She got a sarree from kumaran, when she washed it , the palluu colour got mixed with the body. After 4 yrs, when she visited the shop again, she told this to the cashier. They asked my mom to get the saree, sent it to their factory, got it tested. & replaced it with a new one. She did not have the old bill also. The saree costed rs. 2800. Try asking in the shop dear.......

    cost of saree is 5600.. me n my sister both took same color n pattern saree.. after washing her saree remains same.. ennodadhu than eppadi veena poiduchu

    Hi , you can just give it a try befor drycleaning. Madarsha is a very old and famous shop. Just take both the sarees & check. Since it was a wedding purchase, it should have been a big one ,so u can try.
    For my mom, this happened 15 yrs back.

    Edited: did they give any washing instructions, pls check that before u visit the shop again. If u had purchased it using credit card, u can that statement, if u had lost the bill.

    my imaginations too were never so high.. i was like, may be inlaws purposely took away OP's sari, not returning it to he, mainly to see her sad and OP desperately wants it

    it is because u hand washed it not dry wash. pattu sarees need to be drywash. bring the saree and go back to the shop to ask for exchange.
