Thyroid Problem.. Ayurvedic Or Allopathy

Hi,
I am diagnosed with Hypothyroid(very little higher than normal) in my pregnancy in 2014, doc suggested me to take Thyronaorm 25mcg tablet and after delivery it came to normal. Now periods are regular And now my weight is increasing day bay and i had blood test, now TSH is 4.94mcIU/mL normal range is 0.4 to 4.2. Again i am taking the same tablets, my question is.. i will go for blood test in next week, again if i have thyroid problem shall i go for Allopathy or Ayurvedic?? I am worried very much, my weight is increasing day by day.
My height is 5.2 and weight 59. My cousin having thyroid problem she is 94kgs, is it heriditary? My thighs became very big. I am worried. Please i need suggestions....

Do as your doctor advises you to. If your TSH is getting higher they will likely increase your dosage of thryoid medication. Also get your blood sugar levels tested. Insulin resistance can make it difficult to lose weight.

OP, I have asked the same question to one ayurvedic doctor. He suggested me to continue with modern medicine. I have taken thyroid medication during my first pregnancy. I feel that you should consult an endocrinologist and continue to take the medicine every morning before eating anything. You have to make sure your TSH is below 1. That's my US doctor said. Also make sure you don't have hashimoto, if that's the case you have to take medicines for long. Try to reduce the intake of vegetables from cabbage family as they reduce the effect of these medicines . Make sure that you don't have any vitamin efficiency including Vit. D. These are the advice I received. Hope these information helps.

So pl consult a specialist ( very important) follow instructions and take medicines. I think they may increase the amount even close to 100mcg or more. You will be Ok.
