Episode 32:

“Sister…..” - Mano sounded dull

“Am in Andhra….Actually returning….” – he continued

My guess was right. He has gone in search of her. Since it’s a village there he couldn’t get proper signal. Jaanu got convinced.

“Where have you been these days…Searching for her?” – Jaanu

“Yeah sister! No clues…nothing…..I don’t even have the feeling that she is in Andhra….” - he broke down

“I lost my hopes…All these days I was fighting to get her back….Now after these many months, I lost all the hope I had….” – his voice shrilled as he controlled his tears.

“Don’t worry please” – Jaanu

“No…..Everyone knows right…Someone might have done something to her…If someone has kidnapped her, they might have called and asked money at least. Here, there is no information. I don’t even know whether she is alive or not… My tears are all dried up….” – Mano sounded flat

“Fine. Am in bus stop. Will reach and meet you. Bye.” – Mano

“Bye….” – Jaanu

She couldn’t sleep. Even Mano is saying the truth….she felt.

Then the only person left is him…

Will he do such a bad thing to his own sister?

May be….Because he did not like Chaaru being in love with Mano…

Let me dig enough information about him first.

He searched information in his fb profile. There wasn’t much updates after Diwali.

He is busy keeping Chaaru under control and that’s why he hasn’t updated anything on his page thought Jaanu.

Whenever I went to Chaaru’s house, he was not available.

May be he has lied to his parents and gone somewhere so that he can keep her under custody?

May be he tied her hands and legs in order to prevent her from escape?

Don’t know what all he has done to his own sister….

She kept questioning and it has already dawned.

Without talking much with Chithra, she started to office.

The day was very usual and Jaanu tried to work.

Her thoughts were wandering around Chaaru’s brother.

She searched fb and managed to get his contact number from his friends list.

She saved the number as “Chaaru bro”. She saved this new number and deleted his old number that she had.

She tried calling the number and it rang.

As expected there was no response.

It was lunch time and Jaanu was thinking how to reach Chaaru’s brother.

It was evening 4 and her phone rang. Displayed as “Chaaru bro”.

Jaanu was surprised to see a call from him and took the phone with hesitation.

“What will he talk to me?”

“Whatever it is…will he talk the truth?”

Thinking these she said “Hello….”

“May I know who is this?” – it confirmed Chaaru’s brother’s voice

Let me pretend.

“Bro…this is Jaanu….” – She said softly

“Hi…. How are you….how you got my new number”

“from your friends through fb… how are you…any news from Chaaru….” – Jaanu

“Oh….No news….Am fed up of searching her….3 months I took break and searched her….no use….I lost all my hopes…I again started working…In office now” – he said

“Oh new office?” – Jaanu

“Yeah…I wish I forgot everything about Chaaru and all the old memories…that’s why changed my number too” – he finished

“Oh….” – Jaanu

“Anything else?! My break time is over”- he asked flatly

“Nope…nothing” – She cut the call in confusion.

Her land line rang and at once she ran towards the reception.

She couldn’t believe her eyes.

It was Chaaru….Sitting on the sofa…..

She has lost weight….she was chubby and beautiful… Now thin and weak.

Her hair were left unpinned and shabby. Finger marks on her cheeks….An old dirty salwar…..

Seeing Chaaru, Jaanu ran and hugged her with tears dripping on her dress and she hugged her back.
