Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand. Mark Twain I am a great fan of Mark Twain and I love reading his quotes, specially when I feel low or lonely. The power of his language is immense. Today, I read the quote above and I felt it is so true. Many years back, laughter was part of life. people laughed often or at least occasionally. Nowadays, laughter is rare in many peoples lives. Tension and stress have taken the place of laughter. People are tense all the time, about work, about money, about success, achievement. Where is the reason or time to laugh? All of us realise the value of laughter. We all know that it is the instant solution to stress and tension. Yet, we do not try it as often as we should. In the midst of all our stress and work, I think we should take a 2 minute break every now and then to read a good joke and laugh out all the built up stress and tension. Doing so will get rid of our stress and also help us think and work better. And as Mark Twain says, noting NOTHING can bring us down if we learn to laugh every now and then. Shall we try doing this everyday and make our own lives better? After all, science too has confirmed that "laughter is the best medicine"
