Dear friends,

Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu-2...I found this one from the webpages of Tamil Electronic Library of K. Kalyanasundaram.

He has mentioned that the following song, was remembered by his wife, but couldn't remember its author....He mentions that he would be grateful if anybody knew its author's name.

செந்தமிழ்த் தாயே உன் சிந்தை குளிர எங்கள்
வந்தனை கொள்வாய் அம்மா! (செந்)
நற்புலவர் கூடி சங்கம் வளர்த்த நாட்டில்
பற்பலரும் போற்ற பாங்காய் கொலுவிருக்கும் (செந்)

Senthamizh thaaye un sindhai kulira engal
vandhanai kolvaai amma! (Sen)
Narpulavar koodi sangam valarththa naattil
parppalarum potra paangaai goluvirukkum (sen)

இயல் இசை நாடகமே நீயாகி நின்றாயே
இனிய நற் கவியாகி இன்புற வைத்தாயே
நீ இந்த வையகத்தில் நின்று நிலைத்திடுவாய்
தாய் உம்மை பதம் பாடும் சேய் எம்மை காப்பாயே (செந்)

Iyal, isai naadagame neeyaagi ninraaye
iniya nar kaviyaagi inbura vaiththaaye
nee indha vaiyagaththil ninru nilaiththiduvaai
Thaai ummai padham paadum sei emmai
kaappaaye (sen)

நீலப் பெருங்கடலின் ஓசையில் நீ இருப்பாய்
நீ இன்றும் என்றுமே எங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பாய்
காலப் பெருஞ்சுழலில் கலந்திருப்பாய் என்றும்
சாலப் பலவை வென்றே நின்றிடுவாய் அம்மா! (செந்)

Neela perunkadalin osaiyil nee iruppai
nee inrum enrume engalil nilaiththiruppai
kaala perunjuzhalil kalandhiruppai enrum
saala palavai venre ninriduvaai amma (sen)

பாண்டியன் பைங்கிளியாய் பவனி வந்தாடிட
சேரனும் சோழனும் சேர்ந்து உன்னைப் போற்றிட
சுந்தரியே செல்வி சங்கத்தமிழ் பாடும் செந்தமிழே,
உன்னை உயிரெனப் போற்றுவோம்! (செந்)

Paandiyan paingiliyaai bhavani vandhaadida
Seranum Chozhanum serndhu unnai potrida
sundariye selvi sanga thamizh paadum senthamizhe,
unnai uyirena potruvom (sen)

As this Vaazthu is in very simple terms, thought that no translation is needed :biggrin2:

This is something I have never heard of, sis. The poetry is simple and good. We need to find out who's the author.

Now that Thamizh Thai vazhthu is over, what next?

As you said, no need of explanation...all lines are self explanatory!!

Enaku idhu naal varaikum "Neerarung kadaludutha" mattum thaan theriyum. Ithai padikave asanthu ponen...innum ondra??? :hide:....Hats off to your effort in bring this all people...

Ungalukku mattum illai...nam yellorukkume therinja paattu Neerarum dhan...Indha vara post was a surprise dhan...Sridhar!

Raja raja chozhan padathile vara pattu illai...

Neenga guess pannadhu correct dhan...avanga rendu perile oruththar dhan yezhudhinadhu...
