Hi..Kept looking for jobs but full time jobs have a very meagre salary. Not that salary is important but it should also make sense to put so much working hours. my hubby working hours are crazy and the housework and everything regarding kids is solely mine.So if the salary is worth it, atleast can afford a nanny for help or put kids in aftercare.

Looking for part time but honestly,am not getting any.I am still trying but let’s see.

Is there any jobs for stay at home moms after a long break?Did anyone find any part time or work from Home jobs?any ideas are welcome.especially any genuine websites for work from Home.

Have you worked before? If yes, there are lot of companies with ‘Return to work’ program esp for women.

    Ex: Accenture, vmware, etc.

Try to take a course in your field of interest from a reputed university
Try volunteering in your field of interest in offices or non-profits ( through references friends)
    It takes time

What field are you in ? Are you up to date on the latest requirements within the field? There are lots of courses online these days to update your skills.
You might also have to start small/ volunteer to gain the experience before you can get a decent pay for a work from home job. Work on your resume and pass it along to people you know.

@anika987 I can understand what you are going through. The only person who can come out of this rut is you. You are taking one step forward and two steps backward. I do see you have a strong willing to go back to India. That is one of the reasons you don't want to go back to work FT. Better to handle the root cause. If you mask the root cause then you are never going to fix this work problem. It is clear you are unhappy in US. Just talk to husband and see if you can find the resolution for this. Money, FT job are the symptoms. Fix the disease not the symptoms

I understand your point but Anika looking for part time jobs is a big step in itself, don’t you think ? I was surprised and pleased to see this post from her.
Why should we discourage her at this point ? My assumption is she is serious about restarting her career , one step at a time and this is not one of her fleeting ideas/feelings like before.
@mangaii I do agree with you with the idea that a full time job could provide her with some purpose in life, which she severely lacks. I think that would her eventual goal once she establishes contacts and is more confident about herself.

I feel Anika is enjoying life she has time for gym, time for kid, etc. which she doesn’t want to loose by getting info full time, busy jobs. She wants a simple job not a hectic deadline demanding job

She could enjoy India trip with so many things to do, I don’t think many mothers could do that,
she has supporting hubby , no issues with in laws etc . All good.

Just by doing all day a full time job , getting top ladder for how many years it will give satisfaction? It cant be purpose of life. Enjoying our life is also important

People can ask any type of questions.
There is no need to be rude.

Rude or not depends on my previous interactions with Anika . If Anika feels it is rude I’m more than happy to apologize. There is no reason to pick or moral police me .
