Yes house rents are the main thing, like current shock. Veg you can bring from nearest markets. Needs better bring from like big bazaar, or either from good local store if you find.. Auto charges also very high..

Also please when you employ maid, make sure you are paying what others are paying & not more-maids are very good at extracting money!!!Yes Blore is very very expensive esp if you stay in city!!!!Taxes are also highest here!!!!As Rachaputi said buy groceries in TOTAL/RELIANCE/BIG BAZAR outlets -esp reliance fresh has fresh & reasonable priced veggies& fruits!!!Lots of volvo buses esp in & around IT areas-Make sure you use them-very convinient. Also TRAFFIC JAMS are number one!!!
When i first came 2 blore,me & my hubby went around Blore in buses and covered entire city in about 1month,helped atleast i know the areas ,distances landmarks.useful when u travel by auto so they dont say this is short cut etc...Buying clothes i suggest u go to Commercial small streets in them(not main shop) .they sell good & reasonable dress material, curtain, bedsheets.table cover etc...

Bangalore is expensive most expensive is house rental. You can get a decent house for 12-15th.. keep it 15th. You may get 2bhk for 8-9th too but bedrooms will be really small. Fruits and vegetables are really expensive.. it is same almost same everywhere. I have seen weekly vegetable market in madiwala and kr puram both but i dont feel it makes much difference except for 1 or 2 veg.. Basic needs are better to get from big bazar or if you have time and patience then chikpet is best for every thing. Auto is again bad minimum will be 20Rs and autowala can ask 10-20-30 extra without any shame.
