    Mam, I have a doubt- seat means hip, rite?

    For 1 yr old:
    Hip- 20"
    1/3 of 20 + 1.5 = 8"

    But in the Crotch depth measurements given by my teacher, its 5" for 3 yr old. So maybe 3" for 1 yr old?

    Can you pls explain this?

    I fell to be on the safer side take 5" only.If it is more you can fold it again and stitch.Donot forget 1yr baby wears" Huggies " or Napies.:)If it is loose no problem.if it is tight it will be a waste.

    Will you please start tutorial for us so that all novice can learn from you. Please Please Please.................................................

    All I see is they give drafts and cutting but no idea of how to stitch which part to stitch first and which part needs great care.

    Hi Vani,
    I would like to learn sewing I dont know abcs n also bcs of some problem gave up attending tailoring classes if you be my teacher I will be grateful to you:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown.
    I have seen drafts only I saw your bias bag thread you have explained very beautifully. If you give instructions like those plus what part to sew and what needs to taken care while sewing it will be helpful.

    PS: I am going out of station for couple of weeks so I may not respond fast. But I will attend to your thread religiously once I come back.

    Drafting of princess seams

    Here is the image explaining the method of converting a simple blouse with darts to a princess seams draft.Take the front draft of the blouse and do these changes.
