Great Actress...she has been acting in Mother roles from her young age....in server sundaram she must have surely been younger than Nagesh......Though she did not marry, it appears that she has always been independent....the fact that she acted in serials in her old age shows her love for acting....R.I.P.

Yeah, I too have never seen her playing any young roles. In fact, in most films they portray her as an old widow. It's a pity that an artist like her was never utilised properly by the Tamil industry. I mean just look at the way Malayalam film industry appreciates artists like K.P.A.C Lalitha. Supporting actresses get such good roles and accolades from other industries. It's so sad to see the double standard in Tamil industry.

I can hardly recall anyone expect Kamal who truly utilised S.N.Lakshmi in films. From MMKR, Devar Magan, Mahanadhi til Virumandi, she was given many memorable roles by Kamal to perform. Truly, her demise is a great loss to the industry.

 

So sad to hear the news. She was superb as Tulasi's grandmother in Thendral serial. Her acting was natural.

In Tamizh industry they stamp them in the 1st film itself..Do you remember Kovai Sarala in the beginning stage she acted in old characters only
