This kind of interference gets really horrible in a TTC situation of the DiL, with the MIL telling her son auspicious times to attempt. Not enough rooms, walls are thin, and MIL is also confidence-sharing friends with cohorts throughout the mansion-society. double-.

We never hear of old ladies being pushed off balconies of "society" buildings -- we are such tolerant and good people, aren't we?

    Thanks, Amica.

I am sure it is the right of parents. After the showdown, mil will withdraw a bit.:sunglasses:

Really? And I thought there was so much more to come, like Meethi attending the wedding, etc.

@GeetaKashyap who won the battle?only Kalachakra can give the answer.
My decision is MIL must be kind to the DIL.Those who want their son to lead a happy life can be gentle to dil.To cure the disease of possessiveness swallow bitter medicine.
Geeta in Relationship forum i have posted a snippet MIL-DIL.

Thank you for your wise comment, dear Periamma. In a family there can be no winner or loser. In our marriages, symbolically they convey the message that the couple are now like the 2 cattle attached to a cart. Unless both work and stay good equally the marriage(cart) cannot reach it's destination.

As you rightly pointed, many ills like possessiveness, selfishness, ego, temper flares....must be swallowed to make a marriage or family life successful.

Periamma, I rechecked your thread MIL-DIL. I have seen and participated in it.:)
