Thank you so much for script and the meaning. I have the script and I learned it long time back. But if we know the exact meaning it will be nice to sing.

I dont know the purpose. But, before we start learning rudhram, some priest will start teaching purusha shuktam, sri shuktam and then, rudhram. btw, thanks for the meaning..my son has recently finished learning this and it will be apt time for him to learn the meaning as well. Bunch of thanks..

Purusha sukta is hymn of the Rigveda, dedicated to the Purusha, the "Cosmic Being".
The Parama Purusha - as explained by the Vedam is a primeval all pervading person, from whom the world and the people are built. He is described as having a thousand heads and a thousand feet. He is the Virat Purusha.

    Sahsra seershaa purushaha; Sahasraksha saharapath'.
Sa bhoomir viswatho vruthwa. Athyathishta ddhasangulam

The Purusha (the Supreme Being), who has thousands of heads, thousands of eyes and thousands of feet (with countless number of heads, eyes, and feet) pervaded the earth on all sides and stood beyond it in the ten directions of space.

Purusha eeveda'ham sarvam. Yad bhootam yadcha bhavyam.
Utha amruthathwasya eesana. Yad annena adhirohathi

All this is the Purusha only; all that has been and all that will be. And He is the Lord of Immortality, which (also) grows by food.

and meaning goes for all the stanzas.....

    Regards

Veda mantras can be chanted by any one...
there is no restrictions in Vedas, as to whom to chant...
But there are ways and means to chant mantra
That has to be known with the karmic methods from your spritual guru

    Hope this clears
