    Hi Ladies,

This may sound a silly question but I was just wondering how do you calculate the cycle days when you get your periods late in the day - may be late in the evening or sometimes at night?

For instance, my periods started on Sep 30th around 11 pm. So, do I count Sep 30th as my CD1? If so, Oct 1st is my cycle day 2, although I was in cycle day 1 for only one hour (11 pm to 12 midnight). Also, my full flow didn't start until early morning of Oct 1st. By date, I understand, Sep 30th is my CD1 but if I look at it in 24 hr increment, I am still in CD1 even on Oct 1st. I am sorry if I am confusing everyone. The reason I am asking this is because I had to schedule a baseline u/s which is typically done on CD2 or CD3. If I go for an u/s on Oct 3rd (by date, it will CD4, but by the 24 hr increment, it will be CD3), do you think it is okay?

    Please let me know.

Thank you all. I know it makes more sense to count Oct 1st as CD1. I will check with my Dr. too.

Oct 1 will be your cd1. I asked this doubt to doctors itself as i used to get some decent spotting in evening & full flow flow after half day of it.
If there are Periods or spotting after the evening time, we will have to treat the next day as day1.
    Hope this helps!
    Take care.

My dr said the same thing that CD1 is when you have your full flow.

    Thanks everyone.
