    Hi all ,
I was diagnosed with PCOS for last year(age :29). Doctor put me on MELMET-SR (Metformin 500 mg).I went for follicular study for 2 months.(NOV n DEC 2010).After that my hubby went abroad for 8 months. Till then i was continuing on metformin. I went to follicular study this november. The follicle went upto 2.8 * 2.9(with Internal Echoes) on day 18. My cycle length is 34 days. My doctor prescribed duphaston for 10 days. Then on the next cycle i went for LH test and scan (2nd day of period). LH was normal. the doctor prescribed Siphene and Gonal-F (on day 3,5 & 7), Metformin twice a day.But when i went for follicular study the endometrium was thin. She again prescribed Premarin for 3 days. There were three follicles 2.1*2.0(with Internal Echoes),1.5*1.3,1.1*1.2 on day 20.:hide: I'm very much frustrated about this. Should i change the doctor or what is the reason behind the Internal echoes.??..please suggest me a good doctor in chennai.

    Hi smithalida,

Even i am on metamorphin 1500mg/day...
i conceived in my first cloid cycle...my doctor is too good...never suggests tablets or tests unless and until if its necessary...
She is Dr.Shamim Aktar...Dr. Shamim is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OB/GYN) and She is a specialist in reproductive medicine...
She is consulting at Institute of BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH @ T.Nagar.Very much in proximity to T.Nagar bus stand....
She is very warm and very much friendly....I felt very much comfortable with her...
When i started ttc,i first consulted to a very famous gynecologist who suggested me laproscopy but went for second opinion with my current gynaec...and got conceived in my first clomid+metamorphin cycle...when i asked her about laproscopy...she told me it is not at all necessary...unless and until if we are not responding to nay medicines, injectibles etc...

Hi SUBHA... I am very happy to read about your experience with the Dr.Shamim... Were you having any problem other than PCOS...?
I am having hypothyroidism along with PCOD and my perriods were regular until I took Krimson35 and now this month it is delayed after stopping Krimson 35... My current Gynec Dr.Mrs.Seethalakshmi is also suggesting me to go for Laproscopy... But I am not willing for it and would like to take a second opinion...

AS1982, before going for laproscopy just check with doctor and other sources (patients who have undergone it) about the after effects (life post laproscopic procedure)
