    Hi Hamsa,

Thanks for ur lovely feedback... It is not a painting nor a thread work. The seeds are spread over a sheet of paper to give that shape. A paste of glue is first spread over area to be covered with seeds. It's easy and can be done very quickly.

    Hi Ooviya,

First make an outline of the picture and choose the seeds or any object which is easy flowing and stays long without getting damaged, and also match the color u are looking for. (I picked em up from my Mom's kitchen)

Then put some glue in the area u want to spread the seeds. That's it!!! Go ahead!!! For fine tuning and giving the final shape use a blunt knife/blade.

Now those things in tamil? A tough job for me, Dear (seeking my friends' help here). Here is the hindi version

    lentil - masoor daal
    black cumin- kala jira

husk - the cover/scale of rice

    Thanks for ur comments, Dear

both the works are superb. I think the first one is more labour oriented. the second one making is easier than the first one but dear it came out exceptionally well. the sketch also is very good. stunning.

Very beautiful and a new type of crafty work, Kalyani. Both are very neat and the second lentil work is too good and you have got the figure of the lady accurately. Beautiful work.
