    :hello:Jk had departed 11th April 2012, to heavens after treatment for his prostate cancer failed at Apollo hospital nandanam & I lost one of my few bosom friends. from his wheel chair being brought out from just landed elevator, he saw me standing in front and said in Tamil "seen you too" and that was his lost words. He was a catalyst whenever and wherever I felt low in spirits during my tenure at then Bomaby.
    thanks and Regards. God Bless Us All.

    @Thyagarajan,

    I still recall going numb reading that dreaded news. What anxiety you must have gone through! JK was lucky. Now, that saying "Jo bhi hota hai, achhe me liye hota hai" seems true. Well narrated.

    I have very vivid memory of this tragedy. I was posted at Jabalpur during those days and used to visit very often for work with BHEL Bhopal. I was planning my trip to Bhopal during the week. After this mishap, I was advised not to visit the city for at least three months as the after effects of the gas would linger for years. And it happened.
    For JK, it was sheer luck. I can understand your dilemma too.

    A very powerful narrative Thyagarajan. I still remember how harrowing the days were for India. Public memory is extremely short, but your memory of your friend and the anxiety you went through was really stirring. Getting bitten by a dog could not have been easy to bear, but I am sure the suffering was shorter lived than what the victims of the Bhopal disaster have had to live through over decades. Sad to hear about his passing on.
