Anyone aware of orphanage for children/kids going to school near camp road, selaiyur, tambaram east, sembakkam etc. I stay in rajakilpakkam. I would like to contibute some amount/food for a day course/buy clothes etc for my LO birthday. Also i need to know a place/orphanage where they accept old clothes, they are NOT in bad condition.
hi Sowraj, I am not sure of an orphanage in east tambaram, but there is one in West tambaram by name "Good Life". They accept old clothes, you can visit the children and contribute money, food. It can be any one meal for a day or all the three meals.. it is upto you.. We do visit that place once in 6 months. I can give their contact number : 044-22264151. sowmya, Goodlife..i am a regular contributor. you can give them a call and they will come home and pick up everything. i even collect old newspaper,magazines from people around and send it..
Even I'm a regular contributor to Good Life center. I give donation in form of clothes and money every year. I personally visited the place once and was deeply touched. The children were longing for visitors to come and speak to them. The most touching moment which brought uncontrollable tears in my eyes was when all the children assembled in one room and prayed for the longlife and wellness for my daughter. (Actually it was my daughter's bday on that day). There are kids of all ages and least one i saw was just 2 years old who was calling the trustee 'Appa'.
