No question is dumb! Every question needs an answer!!
First, paper flowers can also be kept. I have kept some.
For fresh flowers, pour water & keep - they will last till next morning. You can change everyday or once in 2 days, depending on the availability & whether they look fresh enough to ontinue.
Every morning I buy fresh flowers to be kept for Mother - whatever seasonal flowers, available.
The positive energy we feel and draw, has to be enjoyed to believe!!

i have a picture of mother in my house...but since i did not know much about her i just keep flowers when i keep for other god's photo...can you tell me more about mother...i would also like to know about her and the power of praying to her..

Like Chithra, I also change the flowers every day.

I also sometimes do the 21 day flower arrangement. That is for 21 days I keep a different flower. Each day only one flower is used ( I mean you can use any quantity, but the flower should be one variety).

I also keep everyday one rupee twenty five paise .. I take this and drop it in the box whenever I visit the Ashram.

On the first of every month, you can get varieties of flowers and arrange them. You can also light candles and offer chocolates to Mother and then distribute them.
