Need Inputs On State Pre-k Program For 4 Year Old

Hi all,
My kid will be 4 year old this August. Currently he is in day care and goes for a full day class. I would like to know about GA pre k program. How is the enrollment done for that program? Do anyone have any experience? Please share in ur thoughts.

His day care have pre k class as well. Its pretty expensive for me. So, I am looking for some other preschool which offers 3 hour class or some public school which has pre k. Heard that few public schools have pre k.
Any input is appreciated.
Is private pre k program same as public pre k ?
