Need info abt good Indian grocery store in Edmonton

Im sorry for the late reply..I somehow missed ur post.

Look for apartments that include utilities (heat, water, garbage).Boardwalk/ Harpar apartments are quite good.

Let me know how ur search goes.

Thanks deepa. we rented an apartment in boardwalk community near the southgate mall. finding very difficulty in adopting to the new place, feeling depressed a lot.

I need some suggestions for buying furniture and it should be affordable. Do u have any suggestions for Doctor for PCP so that I can fix appt for OBGYN.
Also i need some suggestions where to find boiled rice and some good restaurants. Sorry for troubling u with many questions. Where do u live and do u work?

Hi Bubbly

First of all... sorry for this late reply. I have not been logging in to indusladies for a long time. Glad to know that u found an apt in the south side.I live somewhat close to the southgate mall myself, about 2 -3 km away.

I know its hard to get used to this place initially but believe me u'll start liking it. The weather isn't too great now and that can make u even more depressed.Just hang in there and everything will be fine.

You can give a call to Dominion Medical Center(780-801-3360) and find out if thay have any doctor accepting new patients.Book an appointment and u can get a gyn appt thro' ur physician.

There are lots of furniture stores here but all expensive. Are u looking for new or used ones?U could also try kijiji.ca for furniture thats used but in good condition.Otherwise u can go to a store called 'the Brick", they have good stuff .

You can get boiled rice in Indian stores here. Did u get a chance to go to one? There are 2 indian grocery stores on 34 th ave- Fruiticana and Spice center.There are few indian restaurants on 34 th ave, I especially like the The New Asian Village.

Am Sridevi from Madurai living in edmonton since september 2010, nice to see u from coimbatore, i too live near Deepa's house, we live in Boardwalk rentals Apartments in 104 street. How do u like the place here? How about ur kids, Actually me and deepa met in a common place as we r not suppose to exchange our phone numbers and email Id. I have 2 kids 6 and 2 yrs old.

Nice to know that ur from madurai. Still coping the weather and finding difficult time but hopefully i think i should be able to adapt to this place. We live in viking arms boardwalk community near to southgate mall. we can meet sometime whenever u r free. I dont have kids yet still we in honeymoon phase(just kidding).
