I read thorugh your entire story. I am sailing in a similar boat as you. Same age as you. TTC for almost 4 years. Was diagnosed with PCOD based on AMH levels. My cycles were very regular. I follow a good diet and do exercise regularly. My fertility specialist suggested to do lap for ovarian drilling which improves chances of conceiving. When my lap was done last year, there were no cysts thankfully, but was diagnosed with genital TB. I was shocked. Took ATK treatment for 6 months. Thankfully my DH has no issues. Post that doc suggested to try naturally for few cycles. We did, but it didnt work out. We moved to IUI. Due to pcod my doctor is particular about going for non-medicated IUI. I just did second iui and currently in 2 ww. My cycles have been bang on 28-29 days, every month i have one dominant follicle which ruptures on its own at 14-15th day, my endo thickness is good (around 10-11 mm) but still things are not working out. Rest all parameters are normal for me. I have already discussed with my doc and will start preparing for Ivf on next cycle if this iui does not work. I understand that TTC is extremely taxing emotionally. Physically we can still cope up. Stay strong my dear. Your positive attitude is a must to sail you through. I have also been oscillating between hope and negativity at times. But i have kind of accepted that things will not come easily to me. Though I am trying all possible medical help, i am continuing the routine of my life. I have stopped complaining about what I have dont have currently. Instead I am thankful to God for so many things he has given to me till now in the form of supporting family, good education which helped me build a decent career, a caring and supportive Dh and inlaws and atleast decent financial position to try these medical treatments. I believe that every person will get her share of happiness one day. You also try diverting your mind in the things you like. I do exercise and yoga, most importanty meditation which has really calmed me. I suggest you should also try it. Learn it from a professional trainer if possible. Both of us are travel junkies. So we plan and keep visiting new places. Even all my friends and cousins younger than me as well have kids. I catch up with them and love spending time. The kids are also fond of me. Whenever i visit them i keep telling myself that I will be in their phase in few years. Till then hold on. Dont isolate yourself dear. Try to enjoy life as has also been suggested by other ILites and in return life will also reward you one day. Keep up the positive spirit. There are so may success stories in IL itself. I come from a medical background. I have myself stopped googling and researching even the smallest of things on net. It only adds to the anxiety at times. I trust my doctor, thankfully he is really good. Have faith in him. I pray to God to watch over all the ladies here who are TTC and answer their prayers soon.

Agree @mbharani ...it is difficult to be patient in TTC journey but stress n worrying doesnt help either. Dont worry. All of us will soon have our own LOs in our arms

Hi @pihu123

I think without lap, the endometrial sample is collected through biopsy. I dont think it would be that painful. I am not too sure about it. Your doctor should be your best guide. I did not have any symptoms. My doc also mentioned that genital tb does not have any symptoms other than difficulty in conceiving. Infact my blood work eg tb pcr test and chest xray was normal.

Hi everyone,

I am back, again with depressing news. I decided to go the IVF route. I did one month of birth control pills, before starting ivf protocol. I took the ivf medication (mostly injections) for about 9-10 days, had a good number of eggs (20+)retrieved. But only 4 made it to day 5 and one turned out to be chromosomally normal.

I might go for another round of egg retrieval before doing a transfer.

Don't take this as depressing.. U have 5 day blastocyst which have good potential of becoming ur babies.. Any reason to not transfer and go for retrieval again. Injections again and again can be avoided if you transfer and conceive.. I had 4 follicles.. 3 became 2 days embryos..Transferred all.. And conceived with a singleton..

Congrats and Good luck with your pregnancy.

We have decided to get PGS done, so did not go fr a fresh embryo transfer. Moreover, I was so bloated from the IVF shots, I had decided to take a break before transfer.

You have gone through a lot already. I'm also in the same age group as you and Elsa. After reading so many posts on this forum, I feel like it's useless to keep trying with more IUI's. Really don't know when to move on.

I turned to astrology just to check if I should be spending so much money on IVF and even try anymore. Even though I do not believe totally in astrology, the desperation to have a child has made me resort to it. And know what, as expected the astrologer has told me that I have putra dosham and has suggested me to initiate the process of adoption. He told me that he cannot himself tell me that there is no chance for me to have kids and that I could try praying God and perform pujas just to make sure I did everything from my end and then its up to the almighty GOD!

Would like to know if anyone had tried everything, and came to terms with this curse and moved on with life? I have lost all hopes now. I have wasted so much money on IUI, IVF's, tasted failures everytime and now in debt.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I really have been believing that this too shall pass and i would be able to have kids and a life of my own someday and very soon. But this astrologers report came as a shocker to me. I am still unable to believe what he wrote and would have read the report a 10-20 times. I do not want to believe such things, but all my trials have been going in vain so far. I totally forgot what happiness and success means and feels like. Tired of waiting for every damn thing in life. Sometimes I keep questioning, why me! Why cant I lead my life like others. Why cant I have what others have!

Dear @Elsa don't lose hope. Miracles can happen any time. I know after all these trials it is hard to believe in miracles and keep your hope up. Very recently one of my cousin who is 37 years old gave birth to a baby girl. Her case was different but she had to do an abortion as the baby didn't have enough heart beat! She was heartbroken every time her result came negative. But she kept on trying and praying. You never know when the miracle will happen!

Don't lose your hope. Please take a break from social sites and concentrate on yourself. Mother's health much more important at the time of conceiving. If you keep on getting stressed how it will help. So please do something which you are able to relax and peaceful. May god give you strength to over come this stage and bless you soon!
