My ‘Kiddo Isle’:

This was my first ‘Diary-Account’ as soon as I joined duty as a teacher in a Residential School on the 22nd of April, 2006!This International School's..a 'Grandiose Off-Spring' of a reputed Educational Trust, that rules the roost in the realm of educational affairs...-Even, now whenever I feel like resuscitating myself..I simply read these lines..and Lo! I feel that ALL IZZ WELL'!!!!


*Life has never been so exciting and

fresh as if I were being seated inside an ice-cream

bowl of all my favourite flavours put together:


*Every single kiddo I cross seems to be telling a story to me;

Oh! My God..jus’ look at their roly-poly eyes and the

chubby cheeks-all waiting to unfurl something;

*Could it be the story of their bosom

buddy?

Could it be something that might be haunting that tiny

heart, with some fear?

Or, could it be an event that happened, back home?

I jus’ can’t wait to know!!!!

*I’m sure theirs would be miles

away, from our usual ‘adult-talk’- filled with gossips,

jealous insinuations, anxious pour-outs, never-ending

repartees!

There certainly would be a halo of love, of laughter,

of harmless banter;

*Innocence would be riding high the waves of the ‘Kiddo isle’;

Yes! My ‘Kiddo Isle’ only consists of:-

Angelic Mini-Divas,

Buttery Bliss,

Creamy Cherubs,

Dainty Daisies,

Euphoric Enigmas,

Flawless Faith,

Glowing Ganges,

Heights of Happiness,

Idyllic Ideals,

Joyful Jamborees.. et al..


Just get to meet them once-

You too could be drowned inside them..like me!!!!

But, let me tell you..this is a drowning that you would never like to come out.

Yes!'tis pure fun & joy being amidst them..all the same there have been situations when I had felt 'Oh! My God why did I ever become a teacher..et al-due to certain circumstances-during those times it's these verses and the love of my children which keep me ticking!:thumbsup
{In fact, Akila my heart really goes out to the dearest ones who are kind of tagged as 'slow-learners' and the like;-it's more for them that I would want to be with....and take Special Care of them}

Dear Sir,

Happy to have taken you on a trip down your 'memory-lane'-added to which your recollections of those lovely moments of being a teacher yourself!!!

It might appear as if I'm such a loving teacher or so,but the reality is whoever shares space with such caring and affectionate kiddos in a residential set-up ought to become naturally attached to them and I'm no exception!!
