    I,m back with my list. I am delighted to see all the songs in the FBs too. Following are the songs...I melt when I hear them and I often hear also. I am also giving the particular lines which I like in these songs!
    1. Janani...Janani...(IR )- Jagath Kaarani Nee...Paripoorani Nee....
    2. Kalaiyaatha Kalviyum..(Seerkazhi SG)-(all lines)
    3. Kandanum Varuvan...(Bangl. AR Ramani)- the whole song is a bliss to hear and sing
    4. Kurai Onrum Illai..(MSS)- Vendiyathai thanthida Venkatesan ninrirukka...vendiyathu verillai...
    5. Malar Pola Markinra--(I always think of Devi Durga when I sing this song.)-
    6. Thavam Iruthaalum Kidaikaathathu nimmathi(P susheela)- I remember this song whenever I go to any murugan Sannithi.
    7. Thiruvilakkai- (Psusheela)- Amma nee arul purinthal akilamellam alangaaram..Andradam paadidivom ashtalakshmi thirunaamam.
    8. Velava..Vadivelava(Bangl ARR) ...Vetrivel Muruganukku..Arokara..(who can sing with such zeal, its like hugging and kissing balamurugan...I envision HIM dancing with a Vel as I hear the song)
    9. Ennapane...Ennaiyane..kandappane..The same as above. Any time I love Murugan songs by B ARR.

    4)hari tum haro by ms(the daasa meera laal giridhara..part)

    7)vaagarchaarth by p leela(guruvaayurappa....gadhi neeye....part)

    9)lingaashtakam by spb(i used to have it in my mothers house but have not heard it recently though i find it very peaceful...

    what i sing with lot of enjoyment is sharavan bhava yennum..in shanmukhapriya LOVE the raagam and used to sing nicely once upon a time..now only the bhakthi seems to be there:)

    also my mothers maamava pattabhi raama..she sings it very nicely...

    Great one Shanti, but yet to hear the song Pitchai pathiram.Will do it soon.Have you listen to "Muruga Muraga Endral urugado' in Raga Saveri and Koovi Azhaikka in Sindhu Bhairavi

    This morning, my children treated me with a song,

    Ramakrishna Govinda narayana....
    (I felt i saw narayanan...) the mood, the singers, the song everything counts isn't it.

    Dk pattammal - all patriotic song.

    I think it is the power of the voice that gave that extra edge to the song. and that particular line that you mention verum paathiram nothing can compare with that..

    you put it right devotional songs are a medium that motivates,guides and helps in the path of surrender.

    great to know about your niece. i have heard that song only once. I like this song Kuzhlosai kekudamma..too..

    I love the theeratha vilayattu pillai,and also marukela rah..maybe can listen to your daughter sometime....

    Was it some sadasiva brahmendrer song...nice info....
