Universal God A Search for the Eternal Oh Lord, I search for U, Everywhere for many years here and there, I could never find you anywhere Until I discovered the truth within Oh God, I wasted precious time, Searching you with my heart closed You were here and with in me, and In everything that I see.. You are in the sapidity of water, You are the radiance of the sun and the moon You are the ether of the sound, You are the melody of music, You are the life of all beings, You are the splendor of the splendid, You are in me, in my heart, You are the eternal seed - Sai Lalitha J (1997) Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Sikhs, so on.. As people we all belong to some Religion and some caste. Though every religion came into existence to guide us back to God, with purpose forgotten and values left behind, we are building more walls rather than breaking them down. We are all sentimental about our own religion but when chaos breaks out most of us succumb to it. The values and pathways learnt forgotten, for our ease and perusal we twist the Eternal Truth to rubbish. We fight in the name of religion forgetting it's true essence is “Love”. Should we learn the virtue of goodness from our religions or should we continue to destroy human kind waging a religious war?
Re: Universal God wonderful poem, Sathya. This reminded me of the old movie song 'irkkum idatthai vittu illaadha idam theydi...' It is true that we forget the basics what our religion teaches us and we take it for granted to wage a holy war. Waiting for that day when we realise the true meaning of th religion. Sriniketan
