Marriage Is Not A Ritual Or An End

Marriage is not a ritual or an end. Its a long, intricate, intimate dance together and nothing matters more than your own sense of balance and your choice of partner.

I am a good friend to my husband. I have tried to make my marriage vows mean what they say. I show up. I listen. I try to laugh.

I cant believe that tomorrow we will be completing 44 valuable years of married life.
You dont need to be on the same wavelength to succeed in marriage. You just need to be able to ride each others waves.

The above quote is so true. Me and my husband are different in many respects but we complete each other. Only after living with him for many years I understood him fully. Learnt from him that living a simple life gives happiness. I have been respecting him and his thoughts . In the beginning I used to feel we are not a goodmatch but as I grew understood him very well and always do whatever he likes. Now in our old age we love each other and I feel blessed to be his better half. I know what he needs and act accordingly. We share everything , dont eat anything without offering the other person .

Tomorrow we are leaving for Kerala to my daughter's place so thought of writing today itself. So this year our Marriage Anniversary will be celebrated in the train. My brother in law is also coming with us Hope we get good company in the train and enjoy the train journey . I am happy our 44th year will start in my daughter's house and we can enjoy with my grand daughter.
Many relations come into our life… like rain on ocean
but only some can take the best place
like a drop which fortunately becomes a pearl.
