    Dear IL Friends,

Yesterday, I tried making Fish in the typical Konkan style, We were very happy with the results. Sharing with you the procedure...

Wash and pat dry good peices of fish.

Take about 2-3 tbsps of red chilli powder, 2 tbsps of coriander powder, 1 tsp of turmeric, 1 tsp of salt, a pinch of hing. Mix well. Now add thick tamarind pulp to this powder mix and make a thick paste.

Apply on fish peices and leave to marinate for about half an hour.

Before frying, spread sooji(semolina) in a plate. Coat the marinated fish peices in sooji and then shallow fry with enough oil til fish is cooked and crisp on the outside. One can even deep fry this.

If you want, you can use rice flour instead of sooji.

I hope, fish-lovers will enjoy this simple Konkan delicacy.
