Episode 60:


“Maaa…..what are you asking….” – Sandhya jerked.

“What…..? How will you live with your in laws…what if they mistreat you….” – Her mom

“Ma….I didn’t even start living with them…Told na…They are coming next week only…” – Sandhya

“I don’t want you to live with your in laws…How will you do all the works…..You will get tired managing office and home….” – her mom

“Maa….how will he leave his parents and come…are you mad”- Sandhya frowned.

“I warn you! Come out of the house soon!” – her mom

“You have gone mad…come lets go back” – Sandhya pulled her mom and started walking back

“Shalll we go?” – Ram asked happily

“Yeah yeah…” – Sandhya



Amar packed all his belongings as per the check list. He checked the items a million times before he closed it. Lekha was neither happy nor sad…. She was helping him with his packing and Amar paused for a moment…

“What? Forgot something?” – Lekha

“You are going to see a new world! You should be different when I come back…All your silly fears should be vanished when I come….” – saying this he kissed her on her forehead..

Lekha gave him a neutral smile. But deep inside she had a question “you love me that much?”

“Everyone needs such an experience Lekha…” – Amar said trying to close his fat bag.

“Yeah yeah…..” – Lekha tried a sarcastic tone but it turned out to be a normal one….Sarcasm, curse, harsh words…..that was not Lekha…..She was more of patience, politeness and class…

Lekha cross checked his documents once again and they heard the calling bell.

“Hey hi….” – Lekha smiled at her

“So? All set? We can share the house happily?” – Shruti winked at Lekha and Lekha smiled.

“Yes madam! Am leaving! You both can live happily” – they heard Amar’s voice

“Come on! Start soon” – Shruti laughed

Lekha was comfortable with Shruti and she was relieved that Amar didn’t have to cancel the plan…

All three started to airport and Lekha was too normal.

“I should not wave him with tears….I should wave my hands happily…” - Lekha said to herself.

Soon they reached Airport and Amar checked in and looked at Lekha…..

He was feeling slightly emotional but Lekha stood with a smiling face.

“I will take care! Don’t worry” – Shruti smiled at Amar.

“Bye” – Amar went in and went to continue his procedure.

Lekha and Shruti reached home after a few hours of travel.

“Hey! I will buy cokee for me…Feeling thirsty. I can’t be without that” – Saying this Shruti went to shop.

Lekha sat on the sofa….She looked around the house.

House without Amar……She got reminded of how happily they entered the house with all their luggage… how happily they lived in that house. All the best moments came in front of her.

She paused for a moment….The feeling engulfed her….She felt like her heart is aching….

She looked at the kitchen….She felt as if he is preparing coffee for her…Wherever she saw, there were too many sweet romantic memories which were now hurting her…She couldn’t imagine a house without him….

She wept softly…..She couldn’t stop her tears and she didn’t want to stop her tears…Anyway she succeeded in showing her pretty smiling face to Amar. I can burst out now… She cried leaning on the sofa….

She heard Shruti opening the main gate. At once, she wiped her tears and went to wash her face.

“I will arrange my things in that room…” – Saying this she dragged her trolley bag to the room.

“Yeah ok” – Lekha said as she wiped her face.

Shruti came out after an hour.

“Hey! Am going to prepare dinner! Would you like to have?” – she said as she entered the kitchen.

“No! am not hungry! If I want, I will make it later” – Lekha said as she sat on her bed.

“Oh ok!” – shruti

Lekha lied on the bed. She wiped her tears and felt happy that atleast she was not alone. Shruti was there…

She took her phone and opened the news app. It was her father, who inculcated that habit in her. But after marriage, she lost many of her daily habits…And she did not know the reason.

After a long time, she opened the news app.

In a couple of minutes, she threw her phone gently beside her.

Not even a single good news?!!! Nothing to feel good? Nothing good is happening in the country? In the world?

Her mind was still more disturbed after peeping into the daily news.

No single good thing happening in the society? – Lekha thought again..

No rain…

No water…

Farmers are dying…..

Third world war might break anytime….

Wealth hoarded with politicians…..

Above all….that news…. Lekha paused….

God….that news is disturbing me a lot…..Lekha got angry whenever she thought about that news…..

She almost cried when she thought about that…..

How can people be so cruel…..Its just a 3 old years old kid….

How will they…..she cried thinking of that unknown kid……

Such persons should be chopped to pieces…..She bit her teeth angrily.

“Hey!!! Good night!” – she heard Shruti coming out of the kitchen

“Yeah! Good night shruti” - Lekha said without coming out of the room.

Lekha’s mind threw her too many random thoughts and she tried sleeping hugging her pillow imagining it is Amar.

Rathna came out of the lift and she saw Sunil beaming with a smile.

She ignored him and walked towards her cabin.

“He will neither confess his love directly nor will get away from me” – she murmured angrily as she reached her place


Jaanvi: good morning girls!

Rathna: Good morning Jaan : )

Lekha: Good morning girls!

Jaanvi: My God! Lekha is texting!!! What a wonder: P

Lekha: Hmmm

Rathna: come on Lekha! Don’t feel bad! Its just 3 months! That too you have got a roommate na…Stay strong…

Lekha: Have to be....

Jaanvi: Don’t worry my beauty! 3 months will fly off soon. Ok? Be happy….

Lekha: Ok Jaanvi…

Sandhya: Hi girls…..Good morning! By the way Lekha! Stay strong! You will be fine…

Lekha: Hmmmmm

Jaanvi: So…..Sandy….24*7 romance huh……: P

Sandhya: Idiot: D don’t have any other question?

Jaanvi: What else to ask to a newly married girl : P

Sandhya: You know what….. my mom already started pushing me to live separately from his parents

Rathna: Poor Ram….

Lekha was working seriously and her chat window popped. It was her manager’s friend. The admin head.

Bala: Hi : )

Lekha: Hi : )

Bala: so too much work huh

Lekha: not hectic though : )

Bala: You are new to Hassan right?

Lekha: Yeah

Bala: So visited all the places here?

Lekha: Not all. But few…

Bala: If you get time, tell me.. I will show you few places


What is he trying… Is he flirting or he is being genuine….. Lekha was thinking….He never talks to me in person.. But in chats, he talks as if he knows me well.


Lekha: I won’t have time. I will be travelling to my town in the weekends….

Bala: Oh yeah! Heard that your husband is out of town…


My God….This manager idiot has told him….


Lekha: oh!

Bala: Seems you have asked for change in your working hours….

Lekha: Yeah… My roommate comes home early. So I thought I will join her …So changed my timing.

Bala: Oh! I thought you are staying alone. You have got roommate?

Lekha: Yes


Lekha got irritated with the conversation. Why the hell does he talk all these to me… Why would he take me to places….Stupid.


Lekha: Slightly busy now! Catch you later

Bala: Sure! : ) Bye! Will ping you later.


Lekha depicted the conversation to her friends and all were angry on Lekha


Rathna: you idiot! You don’t even know this? Why did you tell that your husband is not in the town.

Lekha: I asked for time change. And my manager asked me the reason. So I told.

Jaanvi: Don’t be this naïve Lekha! Men are dangerous.

Rathna: Not all men are…..

Jaanvi: Yeah…But still

Rathna: Be careful Lekha! Stop talking to him here after. Say you are busy! If he is friendly, that is a different case. But when he talks to you only in chat, that is not good.

Time was 5.30 and Lekha walked towards the parking lot. There was a small smoking zone near the parking lot.

Lekha saw Bala and her manager sharing a good laugh and a cigarette.

Lekha was wearing a bright red kurthi and dark green leggings. Her hair was tied into a casual ponytail. She tried to be normal though she was dull.

Seeing Lekha, her manager turned away casually but Bala kept seeing her every now and then. Lekha felt very uncomfortable as she unlocked her two wheeler.

She didn’t even tie the shawl around her face. She just wore the helmet and started driving.

Her office was located in a perfect industrial area and there were factories near to her office. It took 10 minutes to reach the main road. It was a high way and there weren’t much shops or people. It was her daily route from office to home.

As she drove, Lekha saw few girls waiting for bus.

Thank God I have two wheeler. Else what will I do.. That too in this area…. Have to walk all the way from office to bus stop…Uff…so scary…..that too the route is too lonely…. Lekha was thinking all these and it started to drizzle….
