Sorry for not posting regularly as my MIL was again admitted in ICU. My husband was too here for a vacation but couldn't enjoy with him.. Also was alone in office so struck up with work there.

Working on next part, will try to post by tomorrow.

Hi all,

Chapter 24

“Are you coming to Vadgaon inauguration function?” Parineeta’s colleague Preeti asked.

“Of course, Preeti we all meet together outside venue around 10 am.” Parineeta replied while keeping her stethoscope in locker.

Parineeta was happy in her work as their hospital was opening it’s another branch. They have arranged pooja over there. The icing on the cake was she was promoted as a permanent consultant & was about to shift at this new branch which was also close from her house.

She decided to give this good news to Kavita. She took some sweets, some snacks while leaving hospital. When she reached home, she heard her parents’ chit chatting happily. She never speaks with her father much. She has always seen him fighting with their mother. She was not close to her paternal family as her granny always preferred her aunt over her father. Pari was surprised seeing her mother’s delighted face while talking to her father. Suddenly she reminded Anushka who was now caring for Adish.

She entered home, Kvita & Sridhar welcomed her. Parineeta didn’t want to spoil the moment so she gave light smile to Sridhar. She informed about her promotion. Two tear drops rolled from Kavita’s eyes. Kavita told her to keep some sweets in Mandir. Pari followed her instructions.

Sridhar felt proud of his daughter. They had a good family time.

Four days passed. Adish was now slowly recovering. Anushka already resumed office. Now they started talking like friends but maintaining their boundaries. Adish was supposed to join office on Monday. It was a lovely month of December. Pune has chilly winters.

One night after dining, Anushka was busy preparing for tomorrows office dress & other things. Adish being workaholic, was handling his work from home. He was in middle of sending a mail & realized that his lapdtop may die anytime due to low battery. He went to bedroom to take his charger.

Suddenly she heard a thud & ran toward its direction.

She saw Adish sitting on floor with a painful face. His toe stuck up at door of bedrrom & he fell down. It seems his ankle was sprained.

“What’s happening to you man?” She exclaimed.

She helps him to get up. Adish slowly got up & hold her by her shoulder. A current passed through her body with his strong yet gentle touch. Adish lied on bed. Anushka quickly gave him glass of water. She then called Vedant who prescribed a tablet.

Anushka sent dadu to bring the tablet. Adish was still uncomfortable. Anushka gave him tablet & cold compressor on swelling & told him to keep his leg on big pillow. Adish followed her instruction.

Anushka lied then & told him to wake her up if he needs anything.

Adish soon dozed off. Anushka slept then thinking about him & office.
